They just buy off the politicians and get what they want. But this was a bill to create a fixed charge for people who have solar on their roofs

Right on the heels of a huge cut in the rate that they pay for excess generation. We scrambled to get ours installed in time to be grandfathered into the old rate 'cause after the change it only makes sense if you can afford an add'l $30k worth of batteries, adding years to your "break-even" point.
