The language has had a resurgence recently. I was HORRIBLE at Irish in school, but I'm glad it's coming back. There's even a popular soap opera in it now.

My husband apparently had a rough time with Irish in school too (I mean... it'd be rough for any English speaker I think), and now I bug him with all my questions. But he's got a lot of it in there all the same. My bro-in-law says you can find Gaelige conversation evenings at pubs in Dublin now.
