It is not without faults certainly, but having been here for a bit, you see such wonderful acts, sometimes just small acts, of kindness that moves a 50-odd year old man to tears. It is a place that can make you a different person for a while, I suspect.

For all those who seek to denigrate (looking at you Tories) the NHS can I suggest that you go to an emergency department on any night past midnight and just watch the unbelievable dedication and care given under immense pressure, usually with good humour and sympathy.
