I think I’m always surprised by how much I know about franchises I don’t consider myself THAT into, because my baseline for liking something is a deep all consuming obsession and I forget that’s not how normal people engage with things.

That’s how I first played it! I picked 1 and 2 one summer and didn’t know there was a game between them. I think that one also works because your point of view character doesn’t know what happened either, so you’re usually just as in the dark as he is if you haven’t played it.

I always imagine somebody deciding to play the series in chronological order and I weep for them. It’s SO based on knowing what the events are setting up . I think I played it a lot because it was on a portable and each character’s story was short enough that it wasn’t a huge time commitment.

I think BBS was the only one I did proud mode on, because it was the easiest way to unlock the bonus scene. KH1 I did do all the extra bosses and final mix stuff last time, and even on easy that took… a while. Kh2 was definitely the one where I went and did all that because it was fun!

They’re definitely both ones where I play them on easy now and suggest playing them on easy for people who just want to experience the series.

Yeah, I think FA and Deviantart are honestly the best formatted ones for this, which kinda sucks. Like I have a almost 100 page comic I really want to do a followup on, and i was thinking of posting it here, but because of the way it was originally made it REALLY doesn't work on this site at all.
