I know! It terrified me but is still one of my favourite memories. You will absolutely not get me to go swimming in the sea even all these years later. In fact, I’ve been known to leap out of the bath on occasion and stick to showers instead 😂

Brain is dead so I redid an old sketch in the style I’m currently playing around with for #colour_collective, thus reducing the need to think by at least 60%. 👍🏻 #CCLagoon is a much colder colour than those I usually work with, so I warmed it up with some pink. 💜

Watching Jaws and I still scramble my feet up whatever chair I’m sitting on when the dock collapses and the guy is swimming back to it but can’t climb up. Such a good psychological film. I know it’s listed as horror but darn it gives me genuine fear. #SmileYouSonOfAB….

Responsible for this sublime performance, which is a regular 'go to' video for me when I need a lift.

They’re disgusting! Even when they ‘flush’ everything away, they’re not really moving adequate water away so I end up having to clean them more often and do extra flushes. It can’t be good using toilet cleaner more and having that go into the water system. I try to use it sparingly but still

I’m just going to say it, “saving” appliances are rubbish. I have water saving toilets that I have to flush and clean three times more often and I’ve just spent three hours hoovering with an energy saving hoover when it used to take 45 mins on my old standard one.

I think the local crows have decided to use our back garden as their dedicated baby crow nursery. I see parents dropping their juveniles off, flying away and then returning hours later whereby they’ll fly off together. We have young crows toodling about, pecking at the soil and looking forlorn

Oh education is terrible for that. Everyone in a school is essential, not just teaching staff. Schools would fall apart without maintenance and cleaning staff just as quick as without teachers. Not all schools are like this mind you but too many can be

Trouble was, it was a really great place to work *if* you were a favourite & the actual job itself was so fun & fulfilling. But I refused to accept the level of disrespect & lack of appreciation. I worked very hard there which was acknowledged by my co-worker but this manager dismissed my efforts

starting so I had time. Policy was that you’d remain in the office for one week after any leave. But I said that I’d most definitely be sent out on workshops. They didn’t believe me until the morning of my return when both of us were loading the car. Only ever happened to me, no one else.

and very begrudgingly given. But I was about the only person there without kids so I basically covered for everyone else. I remember taking leave & having everything ready for a project that started on my return. A colleague told me not to worry as there was a week between my return and the project

Don’t get me wrong, I advocated for someone to get Christmas off (in a diff job) as I’d noticed she always worked it every year instead of 1 on 1 off like the rest of us & even offered to work 2 in a row for her. But this job was awful if you weren’t a favourite. Any concessions I got were forced

Yes, after having my (already approved) leave rescinded I made a remark about getting priority the next year for Christmas leave but knew by the expression that it would never happen. I started looking for a new job there and then. It was the final nail in the coffin as I realised it would continue
