I took this one while in Spain. Someone with some plant knowledge will know what it is, I just know it looks lovely.

The production quality on these bitmap books is outstanding. Dave has a really easy to read writing style. I've got Dave's side scroller book "Go Straight", it's a very pleasing thing. Can't wait to get my hands on this one.

That's basically what any of the fast food chains do though. Those burgers and pizzas never look as good at the photos

Just saved someone from embarrassment by privately correcting their lazy "AI" generated post. People still haven't learned that you need to fact check your fancy predictive text generator

There's no harm in knowing many languages. It helps when learning new ones and the patterns can transfer well across the languages

Being autistic is being in a group chat and spending all your energy on trying to play it cool when someone says "Lazer" instead of "Laser". What does the z stand for?

What a game! The graphics and soundtrack blew me away. Also one of the first games I played where there were coins to collect to spend on things

I've played a couple. They're decent. I've come to the conclusion that phone games aren't really for me, rather play with a controller on a larger screen.

I can understand why interaction with me can be frustrating at times. This never spills into work because I'm in work mode and all the memories are ready to access.

"It's a simple yes or no question" "I know but I can't think about it right now" "Did you do it or not?" "Sorry, I will think about it in a moment" "Either you remembered or you didn't" "I know and I'll let you know when I've finished this task" - NT trying to ask me something real quick 😅

Well said. I totally agree. I'm less inclined to go to social events where I don't know who will be part of the group unless there's a strong interest in the event

Two Crowns makes the game into sort of a Roguelike but not. When you die your lands are still there but slightly decayed and you get a new character. It's much more forgiving and rewards long play.

It adds to the immersion I think. Pretty awkward at times though but that's life! I remember limbs need proper treatment or sleep or something. It's been many years since I played

I've been playing Kingdom: Two Crowns in the last week or so. It's quite a slow paced game but is a shining example of how to iterate the mechanics of a game sequel. The first one was very hard in terms of fixing any mistakes you made. I found mostly it meant starting a brand new game.

Making the armour and weapons is rewarding. I found the requirement to sleep, eat and drink clean water was quite a lovely touch. Some trade offs needed to get the necessary items. Also no instant healing added a level of complexity to the fights, which I think are a bit easy without it

Have you tried it in survival mode? I think it makes the game much better because you have to scavenge the wastes and enter places you might skip

If you've not played it I recommend a game called Unpacking. It's just what it sounds like. You unpack stuff from boxes. It's very satisfying. I played it with my kids and they enjoyed it too. No timing or fights etc.

The Tories national service idea is a stroke of genius for their election campaign. All the oldies are going to go mad for it while grumbling about the youth. Everyone is talking about it and it's distracting from the terrible job they're doing of running the country.

Don’t hide the elements of you that are not like others – Bring them with you wherever you are because it’ll help others. Don’t feel like you have to fit into a certain type of box just to please others. It took me a long time to come to that conclusion. You are wonderful how you are.

As an autistic I have special interests. I've only recently realised that, some time ago, I stopped talking to other people about them because the standard reaction from NTs is boredom or changing the subject or, worse, talking about things like they know something about it ... but they don't.

It's pretty sad how much artificially mansplained material there is now. It feels impossible to go back to feeling like anything on the internet is reliable, especially as the materials reference other made up stuff. Are we in too deep or can we come back from it?

The bit in Clarkson's Farm 3 where they visit 10 Downing Street and the grumpy man who answers tells them off really harshly for knocking too loud. What a greeting. I'd be back out the door telling them where to put the door knocker.
