If it didn't pick it, it wouldn't be a monkey's paw, would it?

Also, Nixon had himself buried there. Probably to make it harder for his grave to be violated.

If it comes to Civil War, I doubt it's going to be cleanly divided along geographic lines. Most civil wars are much messier.

The only thing that softens that thought is that Nixon wouldn't be happy about it, but fuming that some rich Franklin is the one that they gave the power to instead of him, who had to work twice as hard for everything...etc etc

The only way Trump would actually try to make tip income tax free is if he thought that he could make a large part of his own income classify as tips

I'm definitely in favor of this, even though the acronym makes me worry about T-Virus outbreaks.

I'm in a 4e campaign right now, playing a rogue and there's a shaman in the party their build/theme or some such means that pretty much any enemy adjacent to spirit companion grants combat advantage. Add the Warlord to grant extra attacks and I turn into the WMD to be deployed against things. Ahhhhh

One of the things 4e did that I'd have said couldn't be done: it evened out the curve where Fighter's dominate at high lvl and wizards are WAY OP at high level. Also the Leader role & how they did it let clerics be something other than only healing machines.

Well I'm quoting someone else with the "billionaires are a policy failure" line. I wish I could remember where I read it so I could credit the originator.

Unfortunately, it is far more likely that it unleashes the P-zombie that was hidden beneath the surface all along. They will always be there, waiting to pounce. Yet another reason that billionaires are a policy failure.

Perhaps, but I'd personally like to see what his response was to being thrown in jail. Because...jail.

Then there's very likely something in the loan covenant that prevents liquidating the assets in a way that stops the bank foreclosing on the secured assets. I'm not saying that it's impossible for banks to be scammed out of vast sums in such deals, but they'll have set methods to protect themselves

Banks would get a commission for working out the issuance, but the public is who gets screwed when it all falls apart.

It's been 30 years since I was taking Finance classes about this, but it maybe the debt isn't to a specific bank, but that bonds are issued. These are unsecured debt packages that are then sold on the open market.

Ball and Strikes is the bigger lie I think, though both are masive lies. Roberts is great at good at gutting policies that he dislikes without technically getting rid of them t give the appearance of restraint. He wants to move the Overton Window, not smash it.

I'm told you even did one planned appearance as the groom. All indications that that one went well, too.

That sounds too much like real work, so we might get the added bonus of a bunch of them quitting.

My dad played Elwood in a community theater when I was...five? Barely any memory of that. Nothing clear One clear recollection of him playing the lead in Arsenic and Old Lacy. He was tied up in a chair and another actor stuff and handkerchief in his mouth. He made a funny noise.

Granted. I suppose I'm saying that I don't have confidence in the people that have been tasked with making FF films and I was unfairly projecting my disappointment with prior efforts forward. I dearly hope that I'm wrong because I'd LOVE to see a good FF film. But, yes not origin or a quick summary

Definitely don't nerf her on her powers. She is easily the most powerful and versatile member of the team. Unfortunately, her power is very difficult to depict on film pretty much by definition.

The only difference is not about how much bed a cat can take up, but that you can USUALLY out-muscle them and take the space back. The cat may find other ways than bloodshed to express their displeasure.

Good thing you didn't chase it. This just proves what movies have taught me: "There's nothing more foolish than a man chasing his hat."

Sounds indentical to how my dad explained to me why he didn't drink. I think the total lack of any alcohol in the house when I was growing up was more of a factor, but my dad's speech it did come to mind when I was offered a cup beer at a party as a freshman. It helped that beer taste vile to me
