Even Martha was too fancy to me, personally. she walked around the entire Earth while being hunted by drones and didn't die? way too competent for me to relate to. Donna is my favorite because she's an idiot who kinda sucks. just like me.

like I've done that in drama classes with my buddies and you can't do it without losing it. it's impossible. and they both had to memorize like 30 digits of the square root of pi and say them over each other. amazing. little gold trophies for both of them imo

Literally, even everything else she did in the episode aside, her ability to say things at the same time as David Tennant while six inches from his face and *not giggling hysterically* is unparalleled. give her an award.

yeah except for today's. did the three with Donna (who frankly is my favorite character. basically, it's the Donna and Wilf Expanded Universe, to me, and the Doctor only exists as an excuse for Donna and Wilf to be on tv)

why didn't they fuckin KILL HITLER. an episode where they actually kill Hitler and then have to unkill Hitler because of knock-on effects would at least have been fascinating, if politically unfortunate to portray.

basically my problem with it was it was soooooo smug about how it did River, but it didn't seem to have actually planned for her until the last second. if it had been foreshadowed/telegraphed better I think I'd love it. but it introduced "mels" and revealed her identity all at once, which felt cheap

heaven sent is crazy. I would probably like it better if I had been genuinely invested in Clara as a character. or if it had taken place with like... Martha or Donna instead of Clara. but I love the gist of it and the bird speech was extremely dope.
