Our right-wing was tragically on top of muddying the terms from the very start.
They lose when people are able to talk about things, so they aim to make discussing anything impossibly difficult.

Yeah, too many years of shifting goal posts has led to using 'liberal' to describe conservative positions from 20+ years ago.
That sort of opinion had no place in society then, and still doesn't under its new label.

It is a ridiculous category of question.
But as shocking as a yes would be, it'd be a pretty easy thing to point to when explaining any rejection.

Yeah. Wasn't going to mention that, but it is impossible to ignore.
Hopefully things get better, for you specifically and in general, before we go too much further in our current direction. It's a lot.

I'm still working on it--but am fairly pleased with the degree to which I've baked it into my Elementia setting.
The gladiatorial coliseum they go to in book 2 is wheelchair accessible.

I'm very glad to hear you made that choice.
I also like your mom's analysis in your other post.
Sending good thoughts.

Just received a rave review for Kill The Goblins & I'm a bit blown away by it! π€©
"In sum, βKill The Goblinsβ by Miranda K is not just a book; itβs a lifeline for those drowning in the sea of negative thoughts."

Baldur's Gate 3 being an extremely unusual exception for me, the stick to indies and 5+ year olds that have been thoroughly vetted is also my style.
So my corner of gaming is fairly comfortable, though I can tell it's stormy outside.

A young local writer once said,
"I'll recall this thought in my head."
He did not write it down,
And later sadly found,
It had fucked off away instead.

I've created a Throne wishlist! The two big items on there are things that would make it a lot easier to survive the summer - an air purifier that can double as a fan to keep my bedroom cooler & a mini dehumidifier for my bathroom throne.com/diannagunn

I appreciate my "best-of" collection. A lot of it's repetitive and bad... And yet it's one of my favorite cartoons all the same.
Such over-the-top characters--where it's obvious the toy line came first--and just the kind of heroic fantasy I enjoy.
The Secret of the Sword movie was even fairly good.

I've never been good at that one.
My dream tends more toward getting someone like Andrea Romano to cast the voice actors for me.

I absolutely love this and it's making me want to go back and watch some He-Man and She-Ra again (individual series as well as the movie).

To tell someone with anxiety not to worry is like bidding the clouds to hold back the rain. Or the ocean tide not to rise. We have many worlds inside our minds, hidden places, and are haunted by the fact that if you rearrange the letters in the word βscaredβ it spells βsacredβ. #whistpr

Beautiful and exciting!
I hope it's not overstepping to recommend including alt text on future images.
It's fun as writers when even our own characters grow in ways we didn't expect.

I wanted to share this art a friend of mine did of Peter and Dorian. The me who wrote The Orchid and the Lion had absolutely zero idea what was coming down the pipline for these two, but now I can't see it going any other way. Y'all will get to find out when The Dahlia and the Wizard comes out.

I love that.
Cultures across Elementia all have a more or less vague concept of the "First Gods." While not everyone believes they ever existed (at least not in a literal sense), many followers of various modern religions also believe that the First Gods were present in pre-history.

Lore
The First Fairies loom large in the myths of the Realm.
Moonstems grow where the First ones walked. The ruins of their first city stands on the shore of sea where the Mother of Waves led them out of the sea to this new realm.

Ah, spiffy!
I'm only familiar with Pathfinder 1e, but I could see them making good use of backgrounds.
How At The Gates handles backgrounds, using the Storypath Ultra system is looking promising to me, too.

Are we talking 5th Edition D&D?
Because I've done Cook with Guild Artisan and Cook's Utensils as their Artisan's Tools.
I've also done chefs by picking up the Chef feat from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything whenever the character was able to gain a feat (usually 4th Level for non-humans).

I am solidly in the middle (I hope) of my own "fake it 'till I make it" phase.
Haven't made it yet, but the faking it has shown positive results for continuing to progress.
