GOOD BOOKS is a small independent bookshop on Jessie Street in Te Aro, Pōneke Wellington.

We’re proud to be Aotearoa New Zealand’s first (and only) Living Wage bookshop, with a select and inclusive range of books for all.

We have a ludicrous in-store only special of 25% off everything (except Booksellers vouchers). That's books, cards, and puzzles, while stocks last. No holds, sorry.  Our online discount of 15% still applies if you can't make it in: apply the discount code GOOD15 at the online checkout.

Just made my last @goodbookshopnz.bsky.social order, of course @cravenjaney.bsky.social's gorgeous new book. So sad to see this wonderful shop close. Really hope whatever's next for the team is just awesome (and that one of the other book retailers has snapped up some of the wonderful staff!)

The keyboard is all a go-go! It just keeps bouncing back the very correct password that we haven't changed since we opened, hahaaaaa. We didn't use it for two days and this is how it repays us!
