It’s just about beating the salary cap short term. Smart for him because two mill a year isn’t exactly chump change and then his entire extended family is set for life afterward. Smart for the Dodgers IF they win. Returns from various revenue streams now is a big offset against the long term.

The sick part is a portion of those were reading a script and flexing the small amount of English they can muster in conversation, ultimately supporting a regime that makes their lives about as safe and secure as the “Palestinians” they’re championing.

People really are nuts. Give them a reason for outrage that they can convert into affirmation of their rightness on the message board and they’ll run wild until the next thing. No outrage for the Africans suffering nearly the same. Because they don’t further an agenda. Or get clicks.

I say Russia because it is. Along with Hammas and more than a dozen other Iranian militant proxy groups working together to dilute western resources and will to fight. Anyone who thinks they’ll stop at Israel and Ukraine is a fool. War is always awful.

I’m sorry you got caught up in it. It’s the work primarily of Russian troll farms and fools who believe the twisted narrative they spin. Platitudes about peace and utopia are lovely ideals. But they don’t do much good in the face of aggressors hell bent on your destruction. Fighting back does.
