THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY: Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is the fourth movie in the series and an entertaining addition. Streaming on Netflix, it has much the same vibe as the original movie. Acting and action scenes are fine. Just a fun couple of hours. 7-7-24.

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY: Elvira: Mistress of the Dark Vol. 1 by David Avallone with artist Dave Acosta. In these scary times, I’m rereading this series and finding it just as funny and beautifully drawn the second time around. I recommend it as an antidepressant for 2024. 7-5-24.

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY: Batman Justice Buster Vol. 1 by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi. I can’t say this is a very good comic book. Very shaky storytelling. Too similar faces. But if you’re looking for a wacky Batman story with odd divergences, this is it. 7-3-24.

No one needs to contact GalaxyCon on my behalf. I don’t feel I am being disrespected by them. While I don’t know for sure if I’ll be a guest at the Columbus event this December, we are exploring all our options. I’ll let you know when I know.

What happened between GalaxyCon Columbus and myself was a failure of communication in which I was as much (and maybe more) to blame than the event. There was at least one email that went missing as well as one branch of the event not knowing what the other branch knew. It became a mess.

Can anyone identify this item? It was in a Tiffany & Co. box. I'm assuming it was a gift from DC Comics from a time when I was actually doing some writing for them. I don't know what it's supposed to be. My first guess was a nose ring, but that would have been an odd gift. Help?

I spent a hour this morning sitting on the couch with Simba's ashes. It was a year ago when the best cat ever passed away. She was my constant companion in my office. I miss her every day. I love our cats Bear & Cheri, who are starting to warm up to me, but they can never replace Simba in my heart.
