I was really shocked the first time I saw one. I was walking along a boardwalk next to the building I live in and came around the corner. On the shoreline, there was this huge Great Blue Heron. Fortunately, I had my camera with me and got my first photographs of this huge, beautiful heron.

Also, most of his sightings after the debate have been scripted and tightly controlled, which doesn't do much to inspire confidence. I've been looking in numerous publications for pushback to the concerns and have not really seen any except from the inner circle.

I don't know exactly what caused it but I thought maybe the heat on the glass and the metal was too much for the seal to hold. Glad you have some rain to cool things down. I'm keeping my eye out for fog to reach San Francisco, which usually also cools down my side of the bay.

I was in a friend's SUV years ago when the thermometer in his car registered just over 100 degrees and the rearview mirror just dropped off the windshield and fell to the floor. Take care.

That is also wonderful! It must have been quite a surprise to the couple. I've seen them close, but not THAT close. They're usually in the bay or a tall tree when I see them. I should make it over to GG Park more frequently to check out the wildlife. Such a lovely place.

Sometimes I see them flying towards Berkeley, but, of course, as someone else pointed out, Marina Green is SF. There are quite a few in this area and I know also in Marin and San Francisco. The picture you posted is really beautiful!

I did not know they were classified as avian dinosaurs. Very interesting. There are quite a few references to dinosaurs accompanying photos here and elsewhere, so makes sense. Cute baby!
