I'm in the cohort of non-journos out here in the world who get a little miffed whenever that bunch seem to demand we accept what they say as gospel. The replace Biden ones as well as the army of pundits and on-liners make pronouncements and expect us to just say, "OK." They get pissy when we don't.

No one who rejected Trump in 2020 is voting for him in 2024. If people simply don't show up at the polls because they're lazy, stupid, sanctimonious or all three, then it's their fault if Trump sneaks in. If democracy means so little to people then they're dumber than I thought.
