I'm in two minds. There's a popular game containing Random Events. On the one hand there are some "nothing happens" results, which I abhor. On the other hand this means you don't roll to see if something happens _and again_ to see what, so it's efficient. Conflicting emotions.

It should be full of Rage 😁 There was a good background originally, at one point it changed to the enemy being angry trees (which was suboptimal), so hoping the setting has returned to something more robust. 🙂

I've been reflecting on #ttrpg that are largely good, elegant, have internal logic and other virtues; which then have oddly detailed parts for no discernable benefit. Partly, I think, due to baggage of previous games. Can we solve Grappling Rules as a starter for ten?

Furiosa is a fun romp for the most part. Hangs around a little at the end, but aside from that lots of pace and ridiculousness. Which is what you want from the saga.

Reup for the morning crowd. This was a really fun session with our pseudo-Greek heroes happily displaying their flaws as well as virtues and so wonderfully arbitrary decisions. Give it a try if you haven't played AGON before, or if you just like joyous adventures.

Have a chat in advance about if you want it, whether it's "on screen" etc. also what you expect in a game generally regarding tone. As with many things it's not about the PC insisting on doing something, it's the player, so you have to talk to them person to person (not deal with it in-game)

My best catch was someone writing in a mockney voice for one character. I suggested the Dick Van Dyke patter was unsuited (no other characters had an accent in text) and although the author suggested they were going for a Lock, Stock hardman voice happily they agreed to change it.

The new series of House of the Dragon squanders the opportunity to start with a bang, instead featuring people being moody and / or crying. Not a lot happens, very slowly, over a long period of time. In other news, I watched the D&D film again and liked it a lot more the second time round.

Listened to this episode yesterday and have been ruminating on what Ben and Gaz had to say all day. There is a lot to unpack and digest.
