There’s a thing that bugs me. It’s about “firsts”. Most entities who claim first just aren’t. Usually it’s a lack of knowledge but it still bugs me. For example, this 1997 article about a bookstore called Romance World in El Cajon, CA indicates that it opened in 1991. And they were far from alone.
