My toxic trait is entering new jobs & feigning ignorance of DEI politics. “Maybe this place will be different! la la la.” 3/3 workplaces (Wisconsin Soc, DU, and my nonprofit job) have had the familiar bullshit. But it was fun to spend 4-8 weeks with curious wonder like it could be different.

Talk went well today! One aspect of my research on racial capitalism involves studying efforts to erradicate child labor, which entails ending material practices *and* reimagining childhood for poor kids. This Labor Ministry poster says "Kids shouldn't work, childhood is for dreaming."
