I suppose so, but in this case the tense perhaps matters less than identifying the act rather than person. I think maybe it needs more thought from my side, but I’ll definitely be reconsidering any future use of the a-ab terminology (though I rarely use it unless the person has self-described as)

This is a fascinating way of looking at this and I think I agree with about all of it, with the exception of the dom/sub discussion where these traits can extend to personality- whether intrinsic or performative.
