They're not perfect and I still have to make manual tweaks to the poses and when i sketch over them, but it takes a lot of the guesswork out of things like proportions and perspective - especially when they have to interact with props or other characters haha

I've got basic human models that I bought, then I go into Blender and do a little bit of shifting and resizing parts till they're roughly the proportions of OCs I draw really often. then i convert them into materials for CSP for quick access + compatibility with pose assets

also if you have a time travel plot trust me you will have a much smoother time of it if you take the "It Just Works" approach. the moment you try to toss logic into it the whole theory is punched full of holes and people WILL pick at them

an example i'll pull up regarding this kind of thing is sonic the hedgehog characters and who does and doesn't wear clothes i'm sure someone COULD come up with an explanation beyond "just cuz"... but that probably leaves more questions than it answers on top of making things feel really weird
