listen, academia has a lot of issues BUT this morning I got 90 minutes of uninterrupted work in while my husband watched the baby and I walked away feeling invigorated. Feeling very lucky to have a job with flexible hours that excites me.

I really expected that diapers and sleep deprivation would be the toughest part of having a newborn but it’s actually the crushing weight of wanting to protect this little potato from all of the things that could hurt her ever and knowing I can’t.
