yeah i can take my own high quality screenshots and put them up somewhere, but i feel like having something like an archive of the direct site is more reliable because it can't be tampered with !! this whole initiative of making twitter worse just sucks for data archivists like me

it genuinely troubles me when i see a twitter archive not work correctly. on the scale of my list and my circles we're potentially less able to call bad actors out, and on a scale outside of my list it's like we're losing part of internet history! it makes me sad!

i run a zoophile mute list with publicly accessible evidence, and part of that is archiving evidence. so there's a problem when twitter archives Do Not Work because you need to be logged in
