Yeah, I was scrolling through the listing and noting everything I would just have to rip out because it just doesn't make any sense anymore. I think I caught a glimpse of a small dinner booth in the kitchen. The vinyl seat was gold.

Just saw a house listing with a built in entertainment center from probably the 80s. A fully enclosed TV opening for like a 26" TV. And slots for a VCR and maybe a sound system unit.

I think perhaps this is tied to how people were introduced to computers and therefore the internet. There's a demographic that had to learn all this stuff on the fly. The older generations largely ignored it until it was easier to use. And the younger Gen have always had the easy tech.

There seems to be far too many people who don't understand how much absolute trash is on the internet that should just be ignored. But now a lot of that trash is being funneled to the front page.

While visiting Bangalore, I was a little surprised to hear that there are rarely big crashes in all the traffic they have. Some dents and scratches here and there, but rarely anything big. But as I thought about it, it makes sense. Because of the volume of traffic, they can't hit higher speeds.

We ran into an innocuous example when we came across a question of whether or not Goose from Captain Marvel ever spoke. Google's AI attributed Fury's lines to Goose.

And they've incorporated this shit so quietly into search engines that you used to be able to trust to direct you to good info, that you could easily just slip into believing the results you get.

That's definitely an issue that needs to addressed. What is probably needed is some education into how these AI programs work. But this has blown up so quickly that I don't think teachers have had time to react. Not to mention all the places championing AI.
