Psych/Phil peeps: Any recommendations for a good, accessible, and _recent_ review/discussion of the issue of whether people are rational (including discussion of the work of Kahneman/Tversky, Gigerenzer, etc.)? Thanks in advance!

Language mavens: Can anyone point me to an analysis of paragraph length in English-language books over the last few hundred years? My sense is that they've been getting shorter, but would love to see real data. Thanks!

Totally agree. But this is an argument for writing your own first draft. I'm not sure there's a problem with using AI for proof-reading, suggesting alternative wordings, etc. (I can't think of any skill that doesn't benefit from feedback)

interesting quesiton. I agree that you have to find your voice. But I don't think ChatGPT would get in the way of that if you just use it for proof-reading/feedback. (Just as it's not a problem if you use a friend for that.)

or at least having to pay other people's debts is illegitimate? It does seem a bit brutal -- Dad dies, and all of a sudden I have to sell my house to pay for all the money he owes ...

that's very cool. But I guess it makes sense under the notion that inheritance is thought of as a type of gift?
