Colleagues, check up on each other. I have colleagues who check up on me every week and some whom I check up every week as well. We're all in this together; you never know when a little encouragement will pick up someone else's day.

I keep a folder called "Treasure forever" that holds emails I've received from students. Whenever I'm having a hard day of teaching, I re-read those emails to remind myself somewhere somehow someone got something out of what I was doing. +

Students, now is the time to email your teachers to thank them for their work. Tell them about what you loved about their course. Even a small note is a spring of life. +

To teachers the world around: as this semester wraps up I want to thank you for your hard work, your sacrifices, your unseen labours for your students. Most students will never know the challenges you faced this semester while trying just to prepare for class. But we see you.

Do note that the deadline is soon, December 15th. Specialization is also inclusive of folks working in early Christianity but who also have facility in HB/NT!

This article was a long time in the works, but it's a cool result with interesting data. Since its initial conception we based a lot of other studies on the method and hope that others will as well. Finally, it was fun co-authoring with so many good scholars and colleagues, looking forward to more!

I’ve just learned that NT scholar dale martin has passed away of liver cancer. There were serious, credible accusations of sexual harassment. Also he was on my diss committee and wrote work I found inspiring and original. My heart goes out to his other fellow students and also to those he mistreated

I’m grateful to the reviewers and editor (Simon Gathercole) for their helpful comments. This was my 7th or 8th submission to NTS in 6 years. All my other attempts had been rejected (some of which luckily were published elsewhere, eg. JBL).
