It's worth noting that Obama set up a special office in the IRS to specifically audit the complicated returns of millionaires and billionaires, only to have Congressional Republicans defund the entire unit. So this is as close to consequences ad they've ever come, and the panic is palpable.

Hot take: I'm truly not interested in hand wringing over how much people will miss enjoying the books of men who have turned out to be abusers. I'm far more concerned about the missing art that women haven't been able to create/publish because they crossed paths with such men.
