"If Biden shows that his red lines are meaningless in Gaza, why should Russia, China or Iran find him credible? If he is too timid to take on an ally dependent on American arms, what reason is there to think he would confront a rival?"
Nicholas Kristof in the New York Times.
Russia, Iran and China already know the US lies about everything. They know USian history better than most USians, especially the unpleasant foreign policy bits like CIA that are barely taught in US schools.
Biden isn't timid - he doesn't stop Netanyahu because he's in full alignment with him and completely committed to supporting the ongoing genocide. The red line nonsense is just bullshit for the base to keep up the laughable pretense that he's in any way opposed up the annihilation of Palestinians.
It's all a pantomime anyway from Biden. The US wants to stop Gazans using Iranian weapons at any cost to lives, so Israel can then face back against Iran influence over Syria and Lebanon with one less front to worry about in Gaza. Israel never actually needed any aid just to commit genocide in Gaza.
Funny how Kristof can't fathom the idea that the 'red lines' are lies to the American public, and that Israel is doing exactly what the US is demanding of it.
