it would be difficult given the medium and its relationship to real world time. When the lockdowns hit, Marvel stopped printing for nearly 2 months. When it started again, roll out was slow. It was December 2020 by the time they had printed all the issues that scheduled for March.

The way that story arcs function (usually 5 issues over five months), it wouldn’t be until mid-2021 until they a writer could address the pandemic. Then, how do they explain the gap in time? If one writer said whatever the CDC guidelines were that month would anchor everyone’s books to that moment.
