I DID IT. I can't believe how well it turned out! I can't believe I made the pattern completely on my own and it fits like a glove! I've done some patterning before but never for something fitted and made with a non stretch fabric. And the stakes were HIGH, silk is so expensive 😭

For no reason at all, just here to say that having cancer doesn't entitle the people who hurt you to a relationship with you. And furthermore, no, it's not comparable to child abandonment to deny them that relationship. That's enough Boyfriend Material for me. Straight to the DNF pile. 🖕

Look, rejection sucks. But I just got the kindest, most encouraging rejection letter for a query I sent out, and I want to give this agent a hug. I know they can't all be like this, but I'm 100% going to send this person queries for other works in the future.

I have to say, nothing makes me feel quite as cool and accomplished as drafting my own pattern. .... Not that I was planning. This is supposed to be my simple, no embellishments, by-the-book cosplay. But then I got carried away. Look Mrs. K! I do use geometry and some trig IRL after all!

My DnD players are having a cultural exchange. 2 are from Faerun. 1 is from MDZS. They're currently trying to figure out marriages practices for isekai'd character so they can help him get married to his orc boyfriend (whom he doesn't know he's dating). These motherfuckers are so messy, I love them.

I love my con group so much, but every now and then I do love going solo at a convention. Had a nice time talking to a bunch of the cosplay guests, who were very generous with their time and let me pick their brains, and even some tips about competing and what cons to check out.

I'm reading a book and it's pretty good... except that it's actually kind of annoying how bad she is at the things I'm being told she's good at. I don't mind that she's bad at them! That's an interesting book too! But stop insisting that she's amazing at things that I'm watching her suck at doing!
