Kumonosu-jo (1957) (Throne of Blood) Kurosawa transposes Macbeth to feudal Japan, starring Toshiro Mifune. Highly stylized in the best way (obviously influenced by Noh drama), with bleak visuals shot on the slopes of Mt Fuji. Oft cited as the best of all on-screen Shakespeare adaptations. #Filmsky
