I was just thinking about going to a gas station before energy drinks. There was just tons of soda, one or two kinds of water, and MAYBE some jolt for people who really wanted to live dangerously. Wild to think how many doors are all energy drinks and/or different flavors of water.

He is a known actor and artist who was in the folk band Perth County Conspiracy. Not sure how this acetate is unknown

Having a baby is great. Most days are totally manageable. But then some days he'll be fussy and crying for 30 straight minutes, and by the time he goes to sleep it feels like you've just run a marathon. Babies are the most natural energy vampires on earth.

Worth noting that I got a TON of orders from it too. As a rule Virality ≠ Sales in my experience, but on the occasion that it does translate, making a couple hundred extra bucks is a huge help to being able to make the fun stuff I do and archive records.

Logged into twit/x for the first time in a long time because someone had posted one of my stickers and it got seen by over 500k times. I can't say I miss it a ton, but I also can't say any other media platform really has allowed me to get that number of eyes on anything I've done.

Met a listener last night who was visiting Cleveland to see the baseball stadium. That seems like a cool way to travel, going to see all the different baseball stadiums. You'd get to see some cities you otherwise wouldn't visit.

I've always had trouble writing down ideas for things and then organizing them. I've been trying to use notes better on my phone and just whenever it strikes me to write something down so I don't forget it. Do you keep the ideas organized or is it just a free for all?

Are you generally writing long form stuff? I've mostly just done articles or reviews so I tend to bang it out quickly, but if you're writing chapters that's something that you have to plan out over a much longer amount of time it sounds like.

I worked RSD at a shop and they had to sign a pledge with the RSD company that you couldn't sell any exclusive things for over a 15% increase after the fact. So we would quickly liquidate everything we could on discogs the day after RSD. But that doesn't stop flippers, but most stores stuck to it.

Just found 3 boxes full of really good 45s that are all post marked right around my son's birthday a few months back. I have no recollection of these boxes, I must have hidden them. I can barely remember anything from around that time.

* I say this not to rag on radio stations because most of them that I contact aren't owned by iheartmedia/clear channel (did you know they were the same company?) and have barely any income to actually pay for shows, so I don't blame them. It just feels good

I'm glad we have a better idea of what war does to a person's mental health now. Not that it's anywhere as good as it could be, but treating a person dealing with recent trauma like shit sure doesn't help. Some of the post-war stories he's told me were incredibly sad.

I don't think it's easy being a veteran in any circumstances, but he told me he was lied to multiple times about vet benefits he could have gotten, and was treated like a lowlife by police and citizens after coming back. For a war that had a draft.

One time I was watching Rambo First Blood with my Dad and he said that things really did used to be like that. Referring to how the sheriff tried to get Rambo out of town. My Dad is a vietnam vet and coming home he was treated very poorly but almost everyone. It's hard to imagine now.
