It's hard for trained, paid ops folks supported by paid policy and engineering teams. Community moderation is an interesting experiment but I wouldn't want to bank my apps entire safety systems on it.

I learned this once when I misconfigured staging to point to prod. The team was in the habit of testing with my coworker's personal account and I accidentally suspended his account and it was in the process of being reported to ncmec 😅. Luckily we killed the job before the report was constructed.

They could and one of my former employers announced plans to do that January 2020 as part of their 5 year plan but from what I understand many of these offices are rented on long term contracts so they can't easily get out from under them.

I think one factor is, companies need to justify the enormous real estate expenditures. Also, it's eerie walking around a deserted tech HQ so I'd imagine it makes CEOs feel like things are productive when there are bodies in desks.

I think a little bit larger is good for me, I really like the wagon form factor as my car is a 328d but the Bolt has surprisingly good storage. It looks like the R3 has a bit more junk in the frunk as the kids say.
