I did make that mistake too at first. But ironically, the moment I decided to not give a fuck what the market "wants", my art started to really take off. It will always boil down to "if you make your thing for everybody, you make it for no one."

I think it's weirdly useless to give me the option to rate posts on art platforms... You sat down, picked up a pen, spent time, and effort, and probably a bit of your daily allowance of sanity on this thing you drew... It's amazing! 10/10 in absolutely every case! I LOVE IT, you're doing great! <3

Yes! I shoot models (including myself 😀) and often utilize found references as well. I've collected books and stuffed file cabinets with references, but I find digital more functional in the studio. My laptop is a fixture at the edge of my drafting table displaying slideshows while I work.

Since bsky does not recommend content, it is a good way to start an account and see some activity. :) I noticed a lot of people complaining that bsky being dead, because they didn't understand that the system does not force-feed you content. The very thing I adore about bsky is a hurdle for others.

Saturday: I painted Lugia for a friend, prepared a bunch of drafts, and scanned multiple works. Sunday: Reorganized and cleaned my whole work area and art supplies storage. Monday: I drew one squiggly line with pencil and then gave up.

I made a 5* mess out of my first try with Guache. XD Not the good kind of mess though. And since it's guache and it's not waterproof once dry, I couldn't just paint over all of it either: lots of enraged flailing involved. XD

Same... I mostly stopped using Insta when it became impossible to be seen without posting videos. Now, with the whole push for generated content, I left a lot of platforms behind and moved on... :c

Personally, I removed most of the uploads and just left the account as a placeholder with link to my homepage, so people know where to find me. For quite a few people, some accounts mean a lot. Don't feel bad if you don't want to delete yours, its probably full of wonderful memories. :)

Sometimes people approach me for life advise and help with problems. Me. Who's scared of their own phone, freak out when the doorbell rings, and avoids people because saying "good day" is scary. Dude, I can't help ya, but I can see how you got yourself into that mess in the first place. Cheers. 🖖

Definitely, but as someone who just sometimes play jump'n'runs and is rather bad at them, 90% of the game were just the right kind of challenging without being frustrating. And the last bit made me scream. XD

I find posts of people who complain about how they don't want to learn how to draw rather funny. Sweetheart... it's too late for that. You can already draw.
 Absolutely everybody can draw. And your worst drawings will always be the ones you didn't try to make.

I will never understand such people. :C The whole "I like this thing, so I compare your stuff to it" is just so not a compliment... I hope you will still draw whatever you want to draw, for yourself, for your mental health, just for fun or whatever reason there is to draw for you that day. <3
