I would like to add, for those who are worried about being judged for starting masking again:
I *will* judge you. Positively. Either the situation, or your awareness of the situation, has changed, and you have updated your behavior accordingly.
That is a good thing.
I have the bad habit of complementing people. I still haven’t entirely decided if this is acceptable outside of the very comfortable society meeting, but I try to make a point of it if I can.
A very ethaustic, “I like your mask!”
Every single time I see another person masking in public my heart grows a size. Sometimes I even send over a big cheesy thumbs-up. If my broader social circle started again, I'd be OVERJOYED. I've effectively lost most of my friends, and I can't even be mad—I'm just left hoping they don't get sick.
