Hey motherfuckers, just found out my kid had post-viral myocarditis from COVID in 2022! Discovered because of constant fatigue and dizziness when standing. They now use a cane. COVID is surging again so do the damn things! I know they suck but not as much as giving someone else a heart condition.

BAD. (Hetero folks get your act together. Though this *does* include a side order of "fuck the medical establishment" for making PrEP even more difficult and stigmatized for cis women by basically leaving us out of research. Descovy, which is easier on kidneys and bones, isn't approved for us.)

Yeah, maybe this is the Gen X in me talking! PrEP wasn't a thing when I was a young adult. You can be responsible in many ways, but you have to consciously choose them: condoms/barriers, testing, avoiding riskier activities with non-tested partners, whatever. You do you, but don't look down on PrEP.

This. I think it's totally reasonable to instead take other appropriate steps to be sexually/socially/ethically responsible, but then you gotta DO THOSE. People have all kinds of reasons to not want to be on PrEP, but that doesn't make the meds or their use bad or irresponsible! PrEP is amazing!

For very boring Job-Related Reasons(TM), I spent about eight years reading up-to-date medical education materials. Like, entire textbooks, piles of journal articles and summaries. I have found *no* way to reveal this to doctors that doesn't make them hate me rather than respect me.

Data point, in case it's useful: 1. I don't get out much. 2. I'm naturally...kinda resistant to taking selfies, let alone posting them. It happens, but it doesn't happen *much*. I love other people's photos! I will click the heart button! ...And then I will awkwardly duck most times I see a camera.
