In a weird way, SCOTUS did the Biden campaign a big favor, because everyone knows the stakes now and no one should give a flying fuck about whether Biden spaces out every now and then. The alternative has become unimaginably bad.

Yes and SCOTUS has made it clearer than ever that this is not just about Trump - the entire GOP, even allegedly non-partisan jurists, are fiercely committed to the task of tearing down our democracy in order to take unchallenged power.

Again: if Biden had people delay the debate until he was more up to snuff, I don’t think people would be losing their shit as much Biden seems generally lucid to me- my only problems are he’s not sanctioning israel enough and he’s too kowtowing to Republicans on immigration and borders
