Same state is not an option due to the 12th amendment: "The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves" Way to many electoral votes in CA to lose them all

This is the reason Rubio and the other FL candidates are a non-stater as GOP VP. Although, there was talk Rubio would change his residency to get the slot ..... He's perfect for it as a Pomeranian - noisy & obsequious but really not a threat.

I wonder if Kamala could change her residency to be a different state, maybe Washington. (Talking hypothetically, of course, I don't see this happening).
