Couldn’t agree more. Solar suddenly got cheaper and more efficient when China got involved in the market and drove competition. By all means let’s compete with them but politicians of many stripes turn that into an inevitable military conflict instead which is a hard pass from me

I grew up reading books by people like Col Percy Fawcett who disappeared in the Amazonian jungle looking for a fabled lost City of Gold. My Dad was a civil servant. I was a teenager before I discovered he’d been an archaeologist and had excavated tombs in a city in Libya! (Cyrene)
