Fuck HIV stigma. Having HIV doesn't make you a bad or unsafe person, regardless of how you got it, and we have all the tools to enable safe sex without risk with HIV+ individuals. There is no excuse for social or sexual discrimination against people with HIV.

Good luck friend! That’s awful 😣 I had one last year and I haaaaated it. Like telling me to be absolutely still for 10 minutes was hard enough but the machine is SO freaking loud…and not rhythmic at all, it was buzzing and then banging and then clacking and more banging 🥴

You are 100% correct. My goal isn’t to get her to change her mind— it’s to double down on the boundaries I’ve set so that my whole family on that side knows I’m not going back in the closet to protect their feelings.

Does anyone know any good books or resources to send to homophobic family members? I finally stood up to my mom on our beach trip and told her how she makes me feel— I cut off contact (and may keep it that way idk 🤷🏼‍♂️ ) but if there were a book i could send maybe she could try to understand me.
