I mean, that's definitely at the red end of orange (which itself is a very narrow slice of the spectrum). That said, IIRC Isaac Newton popularized orange as a color in its own right because he wanted to have seven colors in the spectrum. (Indigo now seems the odd one out, but it's common in dyes.)

Sadly, wouldn't help me. Surgical and N95 masks always fog my glasses, my compromise that doesn't fog my glasses doesn't protect as much against disease but also wouldn't pass GOP muster.

Two of the three cities picked were dead on (I grew up between 'em), the third was Fort Lauderdale. I suspect that a lot of GenX and younger have our linguistics contaminated by TV. I never heard any of the other terms for a sunshower, yet my area apparently didn't call it that, Florida does.

That one was last year. I'd dropped a snarky comment on the Amazon page for a right wing "book" that had been getting passed around social media and laughed at. He called, and also emailed, I just blocked him and figured if he kept calling I'd hand it off to campus security.

Yeah, no one tried to get me fired over my reviews on Usenet, but a number of writers did try to argue with me over them. (And one who agreed with me that it had fallen apart between script and publication, we've been friends for 30 years now.)

I've seen that work out okay once or twice, but all too often it comes across as punching down, especially if the reviewer is a nobody. What is REALLY creepy is when the author tracks down your work phone number and calls you. That one has happened to me.
