All very true! And electric trains (battery or powered) will bring cost of operation down as well. “Hard to abate sector” is code for “I have stranded assets I want to keep using.” 🧪🔌💡

They don't even bother using the code. Some of them are outright stating "trains run for 30 years and you want us to retire some of them early. This will cost us money therefore we don't want to do it."
