It's a relief when some mundane disaster turns out to be a dream and I don't have to actually do anything about it. In this case, it was somehow living in/owning my old house in China and the gas burners leaking, so it was nice to wake up and realize I didn't actually have to fix anything.

As with most "for girls" games the combat's a bit simplistic but the art's very pretty, which is probably the most important factor for these, and of course there is a sidekick cat.

Trying out a new otome gacha game about alternate universes, whereby the concept resolves a lot of the problems with these such as running out of ideas and never actually getting anywhere with plot or the game would end; since every "route" is an AU it can end without affecting the rest of the game.

VPR in particular is completely unintuitive and I got through the "tutorial" via "press the glowing buttons" and still have zero idea how it works. PCT, being a caster, is a little more manageable though it also has auto-swap skills and conditional skills. The trainer is a moogle tho.

free to pick up VPR and PCT and... uh. Pretend to know what I'm doing. Problem with getting a new job at a high level with 20 different skills is that you can't tell how you're supposed to combo them and it'd be nice to be able to voluntarily sync yourself down to get a better grasp of the flow.

adjust eye color as the new shaders have apparently made everyone's eyes a bit darker due to the way the lighting is done. I've never used a Fantasia on this character since creating him in ARR so still had 2 free ones lying around. Mechanics-wise neither SMN nor RDM got any real changes so I'm >>

FFXIV early access: First thing is logging in to apply makeup, because the graphics update made my Elezen look like a zombie. Still not as good as the original but at least it's not excessively noticeable. Generically cute catboy made out like a bandit and is even cuter, though had to Fantasia to >>

Over the last couple of months I've been getting *text messages* from so-called recruiters for some reason, which are quite likely scams because what kind of unprofessional company would ever blind text someone out of the blue? It's insanely annoying that I can't just block all unknown users.

Also stopped for groceries and, as I was wearing a company T shirt, it resulted in a conversation about games with the checkout lady. I guess the deal is that in exchange for cheap clothing from the company store they get free advertising, though I guess it helps that we're in a "cool" industry.
