call me an old fogey stuck in the past but man... no sugar coating it, Kurtzman was the worst thing to happen to the star trek franchise. honestly i think it would have been better just to have let it die after the failure of Enterprise than let him get his grubby hands all over it 😪

Imma be that stick in the mud. I kinda like Enterprise. It had some seriously stand out episodes. Strange new worlds and lower decks I like. Discovery has done nothing for me. I agree totally with you on discovery

I do quite love Lower Decks, but Discovery has a a problem of having so much writing baggage and being too devoted to season arcs. SNW has promise, but plays things way too safe with its characters.

the only modern trek show that's really at all loyal to the continuity and aesthetic of TNG/DS9/VOY is Lower Decks, but as a comedy that survives mostly on making references to those shows the tone is so far off it's hard to stomach, imo

Ooof he tainted your franchise too? He was I believe he was also the guy responsible for the 2007 Transformers Bay movie and the Revenge of the Fallen sequel.... Sooo.... Yeah... Not a good track record.
