Which is fair, but I don't think mustaches or big white guy afros were intentionally worn as disguises. My point was that, barring any information to the contrary like ringers, it looks like early punk audiences were significantly more diverse in a ll senses than is usually remembered

Histories about hardcore always mention acolytes seizing and 'scalping' long-haired members of the audience, but it's never discussed why those longhairs were there in the first place
