I dont understand how project 2025 is like, supposed to work. Like, I'm genuinely serious. Why is it that for any progressive policy dems need 60% of the vote, but republicans can just turn America into a fascist theocracy while barely maintaining 50% in any branch of government?

The theory is they will break the law, but because because part of the plan is to appoint judges that are loyal to the project when challenges to their actions arise the courts will rule in their favor.

Like, there are a lot if absolutely horrific policies, but do they not have to go through the same process somehow, which dems could just gum up the same way republicans do? And if not, why can't dems just use those same back avenues to preemptively fuck the whole plan over?

I think they'll rely on their control of thr police and military. Declaring martial law. It should be critical right now to understand and have a plan, regardless of what is hoped the outcome to be. It'll be a matter to literally go to town hall meetings and rally allies.

It’s because they’re fucking ruthless. They don’t care. The moment they have an advantage, they will exploit the fucking hell out of it. Meanwhile, for the most part when our side gets any sort of advantage, they just sort of sit around circle jerking until it’s too late.

Republicans are actually notoriously bad at governing. They get away with it because Democrats are always "reaching across the aisle" hoping for reciprocity that will almost never come. And also Dems agree with reps on everything but social welfare and some social issues.

basically, progressive policy doesn't involve mass-firing all federal employees and replacing them with dictator loyalists. it's a thing that democrats tend to not think of doing (because it is horrible)
