The same-sex spaces thing is badly framed. First, there's no law preventing men from accessing eg women's toilets, or vice versa. Second, the Equality Act means that transgender women are treated *as women* for all practical purposes. Trans women can only be excluded from 1/

"female only" spaces if such exclusion is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim. This is kind of the whole point of equality: you can't cast out one group just because you find them icky, or have certain "beliefs". The only group who have an issue with this are the transphobes. 2/2
