How did the reporter not even ask why it doesn’t work on iPhones? Yes, Apple is more restrictive in some ways, but iPhones work as transit cards in many other US cities

Don't understand why with changes to Orca recently there wasn't a push for something more like OMNY in NYC or Vancouver's tap to pay system. More technology agnostic. It seems like Android came because Google funded some of the dev costs for digital transit card migration. Worth a docs request.

Tri-Met in Portland has had pay by *any* phone for many years. Why does Sound Transit have to reinvent the wheel from scratch for every fucking project and feature?? How are they so incompetent???
