Lesem House (Harvey Chatten, 1890), possibly my favorite of the houses I saw in Quincy. I don't know why it exists but I love that bulbous thing on the roof!

Amid all this jet age effervescence, I encountered a handful of employees and one lizard lounging on the stairs down to the bathroom. There are regular prop plane flights to St. Louis and Chicago.

It's amazing to be able to take the train, inexpensively and without much stress, to so many places. I really enjoyed my Bloomington-Normal trip last summer and so far Quincy is promising.

It was a good experience for me. Granted my expectations for a standing outdoor concert, as a short person, aren't super high. But I could see ok and hear fine. Good food and beer.
