I don’t want to generalize too much but the place I see the most hope right now is from those that have been fighting the hardest for the longest time. Extended doomerism can be a luxury not afforded to those who have the most to lose.

If someone disagrees with a policy or a candidate or even the presentation of them to the public, by all means they should.
But anyone who thinks that any policy or candidate change would ameliorate this kind of GOP - and media - treatment ... hasn't been paying attention. To put it kindly.

After decades of the GOP increasingly pumping up exaggerations or outright lies about any and all Dem candidates and policies, one might think people would understand that encouraging this sort of "Dems in disarray" thing is part of why they do it.

Maybe we should start speculating about how many high-level news media editors and owners were buddies of Epstein.

Red states are generally speaking economically dependent on blue states.
(Vice versa, too, but not as much.)
To whatever extent red-staters acknowledge this, they believe they're *entitled* to it. They think of blue states as also red states, but temporarily under the control of the wrong people.

All the proof anybody needs for this is the Republican efforts that try to prevent people from going to a different state for medical care.
That's just a little taste of the kind of control they want.

And even then, it'll be an article about "The GOP's Bold New Ads".
With a paragraph near the end being dismissive of Dem's "overblown concerns".

"It can't happen here" and "It can't happen to me" may end up being major factors in it happening here, to lots of people.

Hell, he'd admit it, though he might reframe it.
Or he might not reframe it, at this point.

It's been a while since I watched it, but yes, that scene was de-specialized correctly.

Some folks have made "de-specialized" versions of the original trilogy. Don't know if they're still out there in the interwebs, but I bet they are.

All driving directions in Eastern Massachusetts that involve 3 or more turns must contain references to at least two different Dunkin' Donuts.
I think it's a state law.

You deserve all the cookies for that.
(And by "cookies", we both mean "fresh fruits and vegetables", right? [discreetly brushes away crumbs])

Ford's pardon was necessary at the time to smooth the way for the people who have dragged the country to this point.
*Now* something like Ford's pardon is unnecessary.

I've noticed that sometimes a rightwinger will make comments that aren't just wrong but pretty clearly part of an elaborately twisted fantasy world.
It's creepy.
