It's possible, but I hope not. He could spend the next few months in The US, then come back to accept an offer to lead the Conservatives, leaving his colleagues in the lurch. He might also find the Commons is not the best vehicle for getting your views across as a leader of a minority Party.

With 4 seats, Reform could be treated like a marginalised fringe group, if the media stopped their obsession with them. Lib-dems need to be more demonstrative in getting their fair share of screen time, and it will be interesting to see what ties a future Conservative Party forges with Reform.
