The private life of MP for Flyde, Mark Menzies, is his own affair. If he insists that he ‘followed all the rules’ in using campaign funds to pay off alleged kidnappers and pay private medical bills, then the rules need to change.

I don't think the rules need to change. I think (and this is a personal opinion here, folks) that he's being somewhat "éonomique avec la vérité".
